Happy Valentine's Day!

Some of my posies to wish you a Happy Day!

Wish I could have been closer but while taking posy pics saw a hummer at the feeder.

I just picked two of my colored Cauliflower. I have grown the purple, orange and white, but I could not get the green to come up before. The green is a trip of a spiral. You can see some of the water droplets in the picture but enjoy!

My Sugar Snap Peas are coming along also... A little Pyracantha in the back ground.

This was the first BB purse I made from this pattern. really fun. I made it for my cousins friend. Request a small, secure travel purse in blue and with birds... Here you go...

Recent Sewing

I had preciously posted pictures of the T-shirt Quilt I made for my friend to give to her daughter for Christmas. I returned the unused shirts, jackets, sweats, etc. to Lynda (the mom) when I was done.... Or so she thought. I kept a few of the items and made a tote bag for her. She enjoyed receiving the surprise gift.

I embroidered some towels for friends to have for Valentine's Day.

Our February Sew N Sews project was a microwave hot pad bowl. Sylvia showed us how to make the padded bowl cradle with a lid to use in the microwave. You place your ceramic/china bowl with soup, leftover, etc. to be warmed in the padded bowl and warm it in the microwave. When done you can lift out the hot bowl without burning your hands thanks to the padded bowl underneath.... It also has a lid to keep splatters down (ie not having to clean inside of microwave so often) It is all made from 100% cotton so no fires in microwave....

T-Shirt Quilt

My dear friend Lynda asked me to make a T Shirt Quilt from her daughter's many Ball Shirts, Sweats and jackets, etc. I was so pleased with how this turned out. It was quite large. Lynda gave it to her for Christmas.

Attending a tea

My friend Cornelia invited me to the Christmas Tea at her church. Each table was theme decorated by that table's host. There was elegant tea time - ours - and a Polynesian, kids table and more. It was a lovely afternoon and I also won a door prize. Wahoo!

Christmas Centerpiece

Beverly sent this beautiful Christmas Centerpiece for our table. The flowers lasted almost two weeks. Such a nice gift.

Rest in Peace

Our sweet girl left us today at 1 pm.... We will miss her so very much.. Our hearts have a huge hole - I am sure in time they will mend just not sure when.

Flowers and the Garden

I just love flowers and right now some of the Geraniums, Petunias and Alyssum are looking so nice. I know where you live may have lots of snow and cold - to me it is cold here, but...

Just had to share as they make me smile.

I also have some Herbs, Mint, Rosemary and Lavender Plants.

Here is a picture of my snap peas just starting their climb.

I have lots of different lettuce - Speckled Trout romaine, Butter Lettuce.. Rough Romaine, Carrots, Beets, Garlic, Broccoli and Purple and White Cauliflower coming around.

Sewing with Girlfriends

A few weeks ago three of my sewing friends came over to sew. We worked on a Double Diamond Table Topper. I think they turned out very nice. I did not get mine finished yet. So more to come later. We sewed, laughed and had lunch and dessert to keep our sewing strength up.
