Sewing Day
Monday a few sewing friends came over and made shoe travel bags. I had embroidered some pieces with their names to use. They all turned out great. Even Bob's L- Left and R-Right.
We had a great time sewing, eating and laughing!

Sun Visors
Fun with the boys
The Dye boys visited their grandparents in Eloy recently. They flew all by themselves - James is 7 years old and Patrick is 5 years old. They did great both ways.
We met them for lunch at Oreganos Pizza - while we waited for our order - the waitress gave each boy a small amount of dough and a little pizza pan to play with. They both did very well.

We had a great time with them. They are so smart and read to us from everything in the restaurant.

Birthday Fun
Catching up on fun filled days!
We went to a Spring Training game at Camelback Ranch field. Saw the Dodgers and the Diamondbacks play. D backs Won! It was a great day. Sunny, but not too hot. Good cold beer, peanuts and some fun Dodger fans. Yes I said fun!

Wish I could have been closer but while taking posy pics saw a hummer at the feeder.
Fruits of My Garden's Labor
I just picked two of my colored Cauliflower. I have grown the purple, orange and white, but I could not get the green to come up before. The green is a trip of a spiral. You can see some of the water droplets in the picture but enjoy!
My Sugar Snap Peas are coming along also... A little Pyracantha in the back ground.

Recent Sewing
I had preciously posted pictures of the T-shirt Quilt I made for my friend to give to her daughter for Christmas. I returned the unused shirts, jackets, sweats, etc. to Lynda (the mom) when I was done.... Or so she thought. I kept a few of the items and made a tote bag for her. She enjoyed receiving the surprise gift.
I embroidered some towels for friends to have for Valentine's Day.

Our February Sew N Sews project was a microwave hot pad bowl. Sylvia showed us how to make the padded bowl cradle with a lid to use in the microwave. You place your ceramic/china bowl with soup, leftover, etc. to be warmed in the padded bowl and warm it in the microwave. When done you can lift out the hot bowl without burning your hands thanks to the padded bowl underneath.... It also has a lid to keep splatters down (ie not having to clean inside of microwave so often) It is all made from 100% cotton so no fires in microwave....
A special thanks to Sylvia for her expertise!

T-Shirt Quilt
My dear friend Lynda asked me to make a T Shirt Quilt from her daughter's many Ball Shirts, Sweats and jackets, etc. I was so pleased with how this turned out. It was quite large. Lynda gave it to her for Christmas.
Attending a tea
My friend Cornelia invited me to the Christmas Tea at her church. Each table was theme decorated by that table's host. There was elegant tea time - ours - and a Polynesian, kids table and more. It was a lovely afternoon and I also won a door prize. Wahoo!
