T-Shirt Quilt

My dear friend Lynda asked me to make a T Shirt Quilt from  her daughter's many  Ball Shirts, Sweats and jackets, etc.  I was so pleased with how this turned out.  It was quite large.  Lynda gave it to her for Christmas.

My friend Cornelia invited me to the Christmas Tea at her church. Each table was theme decorated by that table's host.  There was elegant tea time  - ours - and a Polynesian, kids table and more.  It was a lovely afternoon and I also won a door prize.  Wahoo!

Christmas Centerpiece

Beverly sent this beautiful Christmas Centerpiece for our table.  The flowers lasted almost two weeks.  Such a nice gift.

Rest in Peace

Our sweet girl left us today at 1 pm.... We will miss her so very much.. Our hearts have a huge hole  - I am sure in  time they will mend just not sure when.

Flowers and the Garden

I just love flowers and right now some of the Geraniums, Petunias and  Alyssum are looking so nice. I know where you live may have lots of snow and cold - to me it is cold here, but...

Just had to share as they make me smile.

I also have some Herbs, Mint, Rosemary and Lavender Plants.

Here is a picture of my snap peas just starting their climb.

 

 

 

I have lots of different lettuce - Speckled Trout romaine, Butter Lettuce.. Rough Romaine, Carrots, Beets, Garlic, Broccoli and Purple and White Cauliflower coming around.

Sewing with Girlfriends

A few weeks ago three of my sewing friends came over to sew.  We worked on a Double Diamond Table Topper.    I think they turned out very nice.  I did not get mine finished yet. So more to come later.  We sewed, laughed and had lunch and dessert to keep our sewing strength up.

Sew N Sews 2012 Luncheon

I belong to a group of ladies who possess many sewing and design talents.  We meet at a local quilt shop  - 35th Ave Sew and Vac - the 2nd Saturday of each month January thru October. We teach each other a new project each month.  In November I host a luncheon - we gather to eat, visit and best of all have a great Show and Tell of all our projects.  Projects are Machine Embroidered items, Quilts of  all sizes and designs, Table Toppers and Runners, Handbags and Totes, Garments, Handmade Greeting cards... and on and on.... I am so blessed to be surrounded and inspired by all this sewing talent.  Beautiful items all made with the love of sewing.

Our 2012 Luncheon yesterday was no exception  wonderful items displayed by everyone showing off their terrific talents.
