SEW IN FUN

My best friends and I had a grand time at the Sew In again this year. It is held at the Embassy Suites and we sew, eat fabulous food, sew, eat - laugh and laugh some more.... Such fun...

We had an all-day workshop on Thursday. Penny Sturges taught her Islander Bag.

We worked on our own projects on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Chef Steve prepared wonderful meals and desserts for us each day.

The City of Glendale has free band concerts each Thursday evening in June and July. It is in the amphitheater in downtown Glendale. You must get there early for a place to put your chair or blanket. The concert starts at 8 pm and lasts about 1 1/2 hours. The band is made up of over 100 people with a range of ages 12 - 80yrs. They play such fun oldies, marches and current music also. We usually go around 6:30 and eat dinner in our chairs - something we pick up on the way. Even when the days get warm the nights can be very enjoyable especially with a breeze like we had last week. It is fun for any age.

My Little Loves

I went to Reno to see some of the loves's of my life.... I love their parents also. New baby Paige Elizabeth.... She is a perfect baby..... Just ask her Grandma... Also her brothers. James and Patrick... such fun... I am so grateful for the Dye's allowing me to come and see it all..

We saw the sights, went Quilt Store shopping, Reno Aces game... Out to Dinner... and James' ball games...

My best friends and I recently celebrated our four birthdays with a fine lunch at Oregano's, great cake at one's home and lots of presents.... I love presents. I made a Quilt for each of my friends this year. Here are a few pics...

Gold King Mine in Jerome

Great day recently with my DH's photography group.... I love the Gold King Mine - the owner Don, his burro - "Pedro, Gonzales Gonzales", the interesting machinery etc. from the past. After several hours at the mine area we went to eat Lunch at "Grapes" Great food.... A really fun day!

PLAY BALL

We went to our first Diamondbacks baseball game of the season on Wednesday afternoon. The seats we had were in the sideline of Left Field but just a few rows back. In the Shade Oh yah! They lost the game, but it was still so much fun.... Brats and Beer Yeah!
