SEWING MACHINES GALORE!

On our recent rip to Vegas we visited one of the newest casinos "The Cosmopolitan." We did not go through the entire casino but we checked out the shops and restuarants.  On the Second level of the building there is a clothing store named "All Saints" It has over 1800 sewing machines in the windows of the store. Inside many large machines and old presses and meta/wood work benches display the clothing.

The entire set of windows on the mall side and the outside windows facing the Strip are  LOADED  with machine heads and some with bases.  They have interesting and very expensive eclectic sorts of clothing. The store is huge and the large machines are nice also.

What a trip!   Enjoy!

LAS VEGAS

We recently went to Las Vegas to visit  our friends.  We had a great time playing cards and games and GAMBLING!  I had great luck this trip so I really enjoyed myself. 


If you are ever in Las Vegas you need to check out the Conservatory in the Bellagio Hotel.  They decorate the entire conservatory and the registration desk with different themes.    When we visited they had decorated for Chinese New Year - 2011 is the Year of the Rabbit.   Wonderful display.

Enjoyed this very remarkable dog and his journey.  End is a cry as some dog books can be, but getting there was good.

Sewing Projects

Sharing a few of the towels I made as gifts for Christmas presents.  I made the towels for the days of the week and then embroidered them. 

These towel are on long yardage from Moda and then embroidered.

PROJECTS

I wanted to show off my husband's carpentry skills.    He made some really nice  trivets as Christmas gifts this year. 

PHOENIX ART MUSEUM

We visited the Phoenix Art Museum today to see the Brett Weston photography exhibit.  We were very lucky  as we arrived at the  exhibit area a docent was presenting a review of the photograph and his work.  Very nice.

HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2011

Wow!  Cannot believe it is really 2011.  I wish you all health, happiness and much prosperity in the New Year!   Also, many days of sewing fun.

Purple Christmas

My wonderful cousins worked very hard to provide me a wonderful PURPLE Christmas!

The whole thing in a purple bin tied with a big purple bow, even small purple bags for the little things.  A very special bag from Raquel's world travels was given to hold the grapes (wine.)

I feel so special to have two ladies go to so much trouble to give the gift of purple!

Beautiful Scarf

 My picture taking was not the best. The color of the scarf appears blue but it is a beautiful lavender color.

The large bin that held everything is for use in the garden. Footies, lotion and wine to drink while relaxing on this rainy day.

CHRISTMAS SURPRISE
