Fun Trip

We just returned from a wonderful trip for 8 days to Utah.  First we spent 2 days in Bryce National Park

My Photographer

Hoodoos

My pictures do not do it justice.  The real photographer has over 2,000 to go through and then I will post great ones.  But not bad for my phone and shaky hands.

Then we traveled up to Salt Lake City and stayed with our dear friends the Cushings.  Great fun.  Out to Breakfast in Soldier Hollow and Up Emigration Canyon at Ruth's Diner.  Out to Dinner for Mexican food and Texas Road House ribs!

We had two terrific dinners with the children and grandchildren on Sunday for a birthday and holiday barbeque on Monday.
All Yummy!

Played lots of cards and board games -  Four days of   SO MUCH FUN!

This family is the Bomb!

Then we traveled down to Zion National Park.  We stayed in Springdale in our favorite Hotel  Desert Pearl.  There are shuttles in town and Shuttles in the park so we never have to drive much here.

These Three are called Checkerboard.  I prefer to call them Quilts!

Hope to post some of hubby's pics soon.

We had a wonderful time.

New Floors!

We decided to get rid of the carpet in the Master bedroom, Sewing room, Office, Den, Hall Bath Master bath and Hallways and replace it with 20" porcelain tiles.  There was really no place in the house that did not have a layer of dust on it.  We spent 12 days living in the family room and kitchen.  The good thing was we did not have to take down our bed until the last three days.  Oh so glad to be back in the bed and off the couch.  They finished up on Friday and we have been cleaning and putting everything back in its place.  Love the new floor. Rolling in the sewing room chair - priceless.   Ed feels the same in his office chair.   It was well worth the dust and time.

Here are some during and after pictures.

Catching Up

Ready for enjoying the outdoors with all new Fall flowers planted.

Will enjoy the backyard more when the mosquitos calm down.  After all our rains we have mosquitos galore.  We never have much here, but the storms brought plenty.

Some of my latest sewing projects.

Working on several now and will post later.

We attended Ed's  - Washington High School reunion.  It was held for several graduating classes. Our good friend Bob Buz'Zard graduated a year before Ed - so he and his wife,  Maria sat with us.  It was held outside at a classmate's large home/property.   A wonderful night of music, barbecue and visiting.
