DOGGIE NEWS QUILT

Loved this doggie news fabric. I used in a quilt top I made last summer at Sew In.  I had it professionally quilted as it all went together so nicely.  Just love how it turned out!

It does not have a Springer Spaniel on it - but it does have a beloved Skye Terrier.

SKATEBOARDING DOG STYLE

Update Hall Bath

I had that urge to update something.  You know, the need to get paint all over yourself and everything else.  Granted the color of the walls is not given complete justice but had to share.  The color, the new trim I found to sew on the towels and the picture frame with shots of our own photos, came together just as I had envisioned.   And that's a first -  my visions usually turn out pretty awful.  You know what you have in your mind is rarely the same when completed.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes, and then some.   My five tomatoe plants are almost 5 feet tall. They kept growing but only recently decided to set the blooms.  We should soon have lots to eat.  Lovin it!

$$$

Wow, had a great time in Las Vegas recently.  We drove up to visit friends. We ate well, saw movies, and played lots of board and card games.  But the best part was winning at the slot machines.  We had terrific LUCK and that is all it is ,but it makes for soooo much fun on the trip.

YEAH CAMPING!

Finally, camping in April!  Sorry we are so late in posting this.  Mom has been SUPER BUSY.   It was very WINDY but one day was really nice so I was catching some rays and sun bathing.  Must get that Vitamin D you know.

NEW LITTLE QUILT HANGERS

Sewed two little quilts to hang - FOR ME!

WEEKENDER BAG

This bag was quite the challenge but I would like to make another one. Our Sewing group made this bag as  a two month meeting project.  It is really quite intensive in cutting out and sewing together.  In other words you have to pay attention - and we know how well I do that.  Despite all the trials and hard to sew areas here it is.

Posting a few of the items I have sewn recently.

Shamrocks

My friend Prissy gave me a Shamrock plant. My first ever.  It is so beautiful and just keeps giving little blooms.   Some of the leaves are variegated.

Take a look.

I'M LOOKING GOOD!

Miss Ella,  I can finally say I am among the good looking Springers again.

My folks kept putting off bathing and grooming me.... Agressive- who's agggressive?... That's the excuse I kept hearing.   Anyway, I feel like a million in my new doo. Glad they got around to it now considering it will be 90 degrees today!    Well, just wanted to share.

GILBERT RIPARIAN PRESERVE

We recently went to the   Gilbert Riparian Preserve.  We spent three hours walking the preserve.  It is several acres with seven ponds loaded with  different species of geese, egrets, herons, ducks, wading birds, etc. Not to mention the hawks, hummingbirds, sparrows, goldfinch, thrashers and towhees on the wing   There are paths to walk the entire way around each pond.   There are trees and bushes lining the paths all the way around.  There are different sites for photos or benches to sit on to rest.  Along the preserve is a public library and a lake you can fish in -  saw several turtles in the lake also.

Great place to visit!

WAITING ON MY DAD

DAD?   WHEN YOU COMING HOME?

I AM WAITING PATIENTLY.

MY CURRENT SEWING

Here are some little quilt blocks I made to go on the little quilt wire hangers.  They are about 13" square.  Obviously you can see the themes.

Embroidered a few sweatshirts for my favorite boys.

Funny British Animal Voiceovers

This is hysterical.  The wee scene is a hoot. Love the Michael Jackson.  I laughed so hard when my friend sent this to me that the dog came running and was concerned for me.   ROF LOL  Enjoy!
